Card Sketch of the Week - Sept 17, 2012

Not quite weekly sketch - but I'm trying :)

Here's this week's sketch

 



Here's a sample using Beautiful Season and Watercolor winter stamp sets.  Also used the Aqua Painter for coloring and the Color Spritzer tool to add texture to the stamped panels.

The second sample uses the Hostess Carry On stamp set, it also uses the Piercing pack along with the circle punches to add a little interest around the cupcake image.



Card Sketch of the Week - September 3rd, 2012

I've been inspired lately by the designs I've been seeing in weaving, whether it be baskets, paper weaving or ribbon weaving, I absolutely love the look.  This week's sketch challenges you to try your hand at weaving!  Remember all products used are available in my online Stampin' Up! store, feel free to contact me directly as well at stampingbandit@gmail.com

Sample 1 - From My Heart stamp set, word window punch and modern label punch.  This sample uses a triaxial weave of comfort cafe DSP, certainly celery and marina mist cardstock.

 



 

Sample 2 - While not really weaving, the Herringbone technique pulls off a very similar eye attracting pattern, this card also uses Comfort Cafe DSP, as well as the Bitty Banners framelits and the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.

Card Sketch of the Week - August 13th, 2012

Blank Canvases unleash the most fulfilling creative experimentation!  This week's sketch let's you create to your heart's content!

Sample 1 is a holiday card using the new Watercolor Winter Stamp set from the Holiday mini, sentiment from the Christmas Lodge Stamp set, and adorned with the Confetti stamp set!!

Sample 2 is a tropical emboss resist - using Postage Due as the mains stamp set, netting background stamp, A fitting Occassion stamp set and the sentiment from the Ronald McDonald House stamp set Moving Forward!

Sample 1 - Betsy's blooms and in colors make this a very bright and cheery card!

Sample 2 - A nice effect for a sympathy card, Elements of Style in neutral River Rock and Soft Suede

Weekly Card Sketch - July 9th

Enduring the heat wave this week!  It was easy to find time to do some creative stuff while hiding away in the A/C!

Sample 1 - summer smooches dsp, Just Believe and Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets,  a reinker wash, and really loving the bitty banners framelits!

Sample 2 - comfort cafe dsp (my favorite in the new catalog!!), Fabulous Phrases and Elements of Style stamp sets, some punch "labelling" and crochet trim!

Sample 1 - using the Lean on Me and Confetti stamps, the Oval Frame embossing folder and the new comfort cafe designer series paper.

Sample 2 - Using the From my Heart stamp set for the sentiment and the Reason to Smile stamp set for the flowers!.  This sample is also using the comfort cafe designer series paper.
